Get Involved

We have a range of volunteer roles on camp available for DFs and Kinsfolk. Everyone coming to camp above the age of 17 must have a role, and have a valid DBS or PVG check.

Here are a range of teams that are currently looking for roles:

Programme

  • Wide game actors

The wide game follows the camp theme of stories. Venturers must help classic characters/character archetypes to complete their stories by completing small challenges, much in typical wide game style. Those wanting to volunteer for roles in the wide game, whether big or small, can get in touch with a wide game leader at felix@greyfinch.co.uk or you can sign up for character roles during camp.

  • Opening & closing ceremony co-ordinators
  • Hosts for the Merry Moot and opening & closing ceremonies

Wellbeing

  • MEST-UP reps

You do not need MEST-UP training for daytime shifts. These shifts consist of sitting in the center and ensuring the space is being looked after.

You do need MEST-UP training for evening shifts. Your job is to sit in MEST-UP should any participants need someone to talk to while evening programme is running.  Send an email to mestup@spanthat.world or fill in this form.
