Theme Nights

Neon Night - what to bring neon or brightly coloured clothes, we are going to provide body paint and glo sticks!!

Masquerade Ball night - The venturer camp prom with a twist. Bring your fancy clothes and a mask. There will be a chance to make masks on camp!

Alphabet Party! - You have to come dressed as something beginning with the first letter of your name, ( coming dressed as yourself is not allowed!! ) Get creative and bring things to dress up with you but there will be chances to make your costume on camp as well.

Centres

 Below is a description of all the wonderful centres that will be appearing at v camp 08

Creativity Centre

A mix of art, drama, music and dance, giving workshops from samba dance to graffti and shakespear to making your own clothes. Pop in to let free your creative side, make costumes for the theme nights and take part in our workshops.

Party

The party centre, which stands for politcal, active, revolutionary thinking youth, is a peer-led political information centre in line with the theme of anti-apathy. The party centre aims to get people to look at things from all sides of the debate and step out of the box, so will be holding exciting workshops, debates and activities, as well as having drop in information sessions.

Mest Up

MEST-UP (Mediation Education Support Team - Umbrella Project) offers services of conflict resolution and peer education about relationships, drugs, health and other stuff. Drop in for advice, support, information and workshops all run by the fantastic Mest-Up team.

Chill Out

Need to get away from it all? Then head over to the chill out tent with a comfy indoor place to hang out and the lovely chill out crew giving relaxing massages.   Chilled out tunes, lovely people and even an outside garden to relax in.

Media

The media centre are the awesome people that bring us the daily news show everynight. Drop into media to get involved with making videos, producing the news and getting your voice heard on camp.

C-change

C-change is a project by young for young people about climate change. The centre will be running a host of different workshops and drop in sessions, from setting up a solar shower to relaxing in its eco sauna. Whether you want to get involved in something practical or just grab some information or have a chat drop in as c-change has loads to offer.

Tillyards Cafe

The quirky yet cool Tillyards cafe doesnt just sell a kickass cup of coffee but also has an awesome atmosphere to relax with your mates. Run as a c0-operative the cafe is selling tasty fairtrade food and drink and also running the eco pizza trailer. Drop by in the evening for a midnight snack and live music and open mic nights.

Df Mini Centre

Run by enthusiastic Df's for venturer's to find out exactly what those Df's get up to. What is a Df, what events do they have and what projects are they running. Pop along to find out more, get involved and maybe even buy some sexy DF merchandise.
