Venturer Camp

Venturer Camp is getting closer and individual bookings need to be made.

We have created a sample form for all participants for Districts to use and they are available here:

Forms need to be either completed directly on-line or in the spreadsheet and then sent to the central booking team. Initial deposits of £25 should be sent in before the end of March to:

Venturers lead the way

If you are a venturer and you can’t wait for Venturer Camp, then today is your lucky day.

We are currently looking for eight brave venturers to take on a regional role and sit in the venturer committee that will help shape VCamp.

You will join a group of six other venturers that were elected at the venturer conference.

The role involves meeting three times before the camp (all expenses paid) and telling the central team what you would like to see on camp. The first meeting will be held in the first week of February.

If you want to get involved, send an email to vcamp@woodcraft.org.uk with the following details:

Your full name, district, email address and a statement saying how you can help the committee (write about 300 words).

The deadline for submissions is December 24th. The decision will be made by the current members of the committee, and we will let you know if your application has been successful in the first week of January.

We need a representative from each of the following areas: London, South East, South West, Midlands, Wales, Eastern, Northern and Scotland.

So go on, send your application in now!

That is why on the 5th December 2009 we are holding the first National Venturer Camp conference in Birmingham.

We are asking every group to send a Venturer and leader to the conference for an event where we will discuss plan and do other exciting things getting ready for the conference.
