The Awesome Job Centre

Greetings Traveler, welcome to somthing quite new. From the central town council of Vtopia comes a centre that will reach out beyond the boundry of the camp both before an after. The Awesome Job Centre will be a hub for V-Topia; providing its own programe of cutting edge workshops for survival in the 21st century real world, packed with information and ideas for volunteering in the wider movement, helping run vibrant democratic elections during V-Camp 2010 but crucially coordianting Venturer, DF and Kinsfolk volunteering on site! If you are looking to get stuck in with organisaing the camp, want to help bring together a centre, or over 15 and thinking about what role you’re gonna have on site then this is the place for you!

Venturer?

This is your camp is every possibly way. Although you don’t need to have a “job” to come to V-Camp all the centres and teams would love to heard your ideas for what you want them to be like. And if you do even want to help orgaise them or go to some training before the camp starts please let us know. Otherwise simply have a browse bellow and see what’s getting planned so far for your camp!

Over 15?

At Venturer Camp if you ain’t a Venturer you need a role. This can be anything from stewarding at the gigs to being a venturer leader to helping film the event. Bellow are all the centres and teams so far planned for the camp, have a browse for somthing that catches your eye. Get in touch with the people who are coordinating that centre or team and offer your services. When you book you will be able to say what role you’ve opted for. If you can’t find a place don’t pannic The Awesome Job Centre will always be able to find you stuff to do even if you turn up on the day!

Multiple Roles

In the past you had to have 1 role for the whole week but now with The Awesome Job Centre you have the flexiblity to change round during the week so you get the most from volunteering at V-Camp. The Hiking Centre. A mini centre that will break out of the boundaries of the camp and away into the landscape. Click HERE to find out more…

The Cafe. Early stages as yet with no name or menu. Will need a lot of enthusiastic friendly staff to help shape every aspect. Click HERE to find out more…

The Chill Out Centre. The ultimate relaxing space on site, talk with friends, have a nap, stick on some reggae. Just Chill. Click HERE man.

Club joker is a cafe chill out area by day serving A selection of well sourced food, in a calm and Relaxed space. and a night becomes a place to listen to some fun beats. Click HERE

The Baking Centre. Possible a bolt on extension to The Cafe with a delicious series of workshops. Click HERE to see what’s cooking.

TREE @ V-Camp. A TREEhouse? A TREE Tent? Who knows just yet… A hub of exciting exploration of all things TREE? That is certain. Click HERE.

The State Crew. Making other people’s dreams in to reality, The stage crew do an incredible ammount with very very little and give V-Camp a real venue to gather together. Click HERE.

The Stewarding Team. Crucial and a lot of fun. Stewards help run every aspect of the camp from evening programe to first aid. With high Vis Jackets and Walkie Talkies they are recognisable as well as fashionable. Click HERE to see what they do.

The Sleep Centre. Not to be confused with The Chill Out Centre this centre will be small but important dedicated to the important of getting enough quality sleep. Click HERE to find out more.

Site Services Team. Sometime messy, sometimes hard work, always rewarding – The Site Services Team will make sure every logistical element of camp infrastructure comes together and stays together. Click HERE.

P.A.N.T.S. Performing Arts ‘N’ Theatre Stuff Centre makes a triumphant return to deliver a jam packed programe of all things artistic and performance based. Expect juggling, drama, DJing, Dance, Drums, Scat, Ska, Art and Acting. Click HERE if your excited.

MEST-UP. The essential Mest-Up Centre delivers the best in peer education when it comes to sex, drugs and identity as well as drop in session to help you chill out and confidential mediation and support services. Mest-Up reps will be doing extensive training in the run up to V-Camp so click HERE to see how to get involved.

The Mothership. The Mothership will pour art and technology into the making of beautiful informative films throughout camp as well as screening the best in cinema every night. Village Team. Of course you might not be based in the central “Vtopia” at all. Ventuer Leaders, Village Coordinators, Village DFs, Village KPs and many more role form part of a wider Village Team.
